We source our cocoa from farmers and traders working around the world that we feel represent viable and sustainable models for flavour, quality, livelihoods, landscapes and communities.
Cocoa has long been cultivated in the Dominican Republic, reknowned for a fruity, yet strong cocoa flavour we've been delighted to be able to work with this fantastic cocoa to explore gentle fruity flavours with a well balanced acidity that gives some lovely complexity to the chocolate.
Our cocoa has been cultivated by the Nuñez family, based in the Villa Riva Municipality in the Duarte region of the Dominican Republic. The family have worked alongside generations to create a fantastic quality cocoa with distinctive character notes.
This chocolate has been crafted by our team at our Chocolate Manufactory York Cocoa Works from the finest chocolate making ingredients.
