As a working chocolate factory in the heart of York we're delighted to share the full chocolate making process from the cocoa farms we source our cocoa from through to the chocolate we make and the products we craft. We can also join you in your classroom, bringing our chocolate making process to your school with our flavour exploration and hands on making activities.

We have been delivering chocolate workshops in schools for over 10 years, with a whole range of chocolate knowledge to share, we have shaped this into a range of activities that we offer at the Cocoa Works for visitors of all ages, or in our educational workshops where we are able to join you in the classroom. Our workshop has 3 key components to it: The Journey of a Cocoa Bean, Becoming a Chocolate Maker and the Art of the Chocolatier.

Please select the type of workshop you would prefer to join us on below and select your preferred date and time and a member of our team will come back to you to confirm availability. For smaller groups you can select our publicly available program where small number requirements do not apply.
